The BWS WE Club is a group of grade 7-12 students who are part of the WE Schools community.
Ms. Penney and Ms. Morgan are the teacher mentors for this program.
The WE organization helps identify the local and global issues that spark their passion and empowers them with the tools to take action.
So far this year the WE Club has attended WE Day Alberta in Edmonton in October where students gathered with schools all over Alberta celebrating volunteerism in their communities.
This year the BWS WE Club has run a successful Winterize with the Wolves Campaign where we donated over 10 bags of winter clothing to the Fort McMurray Salvation Army. During the aftermath of the California Camp Fires, the WE Club sold Candy Cane Grams and raised over $200 for the American Red Cross. In the new year, the WE Club plans on fundraising for Fort McMurray's Centre of Hope!
